„BANDL-TANZ“ der „Landjugend Bezirk Weiz“
14 TänzerInnen und Tänzer aus dem gesamten Bezirk Weiz und 1 Steirische Harmonika Spieler werden am 1. August 2026, 18 Uhr, im Rahmen des „Festes der Kulturen“ am Hauptplatz Passail den „Bandltanz“ aufführen.
Der Bandltanz ist ein traditioneller Volkstanz, bei dem Tänzer bunte Bänder um eine geschmückte Stange oder einen Baum flechten.
Der „Bandltanz“ ist einer der bekanntesten Schautänze der Landjugend Steiermark und wird dort als fester Bestandteil der regionalen Brauchtumspflege gelebt.
Der Landjugendbezirk Weiz ist der Mitgliederstärkste Landjugendbezirk aller 15 Landjugendbezirke der Steiermark mit rund 1700 Mitgliedern und steht unter der Leitung von Bezirksobmann Manuel Schenk.

“BANDL-TANZ” by Landjugend Bezirk Weiz
Fourteen dancers from across the Weiz district and one Styrian accordion player will perform the “Bandltanz” on August 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., as part of the “Fest der Kulturen” on Passail’s main square.
The Bandltanz is a traditional folk dance in which dancers weave colorful ribbons around a decorated pole or tree.
The “Bandltanz” is one of the best-known show dances of the Styrian Rural Youth Association and is an integral part of the region’s cultural traditions.
The Weiz Rural Youth District has the largest membership of all 15 rural youth districts in Styria, with approximately 1,700 members, and is led by District Chairman Manuel Schenk.
