From a distance, almost no one can distinguish who is right and who is just making noise.

Some discussions are about ego, insecurity, the need to be right, or simply an inability to understand the other person.

And when you enter into this type of debate, even if you have arguments, you lose something more important: your clarity, your energy, and your image.

There is a big difference between defending an idea and wasting time with someone who doesn’t want to understand. Intelligent people discuss to evolve, for collective growth, and foolish people discuss to win so they don’t feel small.

Not every provocation deserves a response.
In the end, convention wasn’t built by winning research.
It’s built by knowing which ones to ignore and which ones deserve your attention.

Inspired by an idea popularly attributed to Mark Twain.

À distância, quase ninguém consegue distinguir quem está certo e quem apenas está a fazer barulho

Algumas discussões são sobre sobre ego, insegurança, necessidade de ter razão ou simples incapacidade de compreender o outro
E quando entras nesse tipo de debate, mesmo que tenhas argumentos, perdes algo mais valioso: a tua clareza, a tua energia e a tua imagem.

Há uma grande diferença entre defender uma ideia e desperdiçar tempo com quem não quer entender.
Pessoas inteligentes discutem para evoluir, para um crescimento colectivo e pessoas tolas discutem para vencer ara não se sentirem pequenas.

Nem toda provocação merece resposta.
No final, reputação não se constrói ganhando discussões
