A beautiful review for KHALI from Spain 😍🙏🇪🇸
"Sunday's program concluded with this exquisite dance piece from Armenia.
Five very young performers, dressed in the colors used in the weaving of their country's carpets, mesmerized those of us seated in the stands.
Aesthetically, it was a blend of Sofia Coppola's "The Virgin Suicides," Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale," and the Roman vestal virgins. Their presence on stage was both fragile and powerful, a kind of interplay of movements, seeking individuality or harmony, subtlety or the fleeting spotlight of one of those skeins of wool, knotted to the vertical loom represented by a bench that served as its central axis.
Red, indigo, earth tones, ochre... they were the feminine hands, the trousseau, the natural dyes, the tradition, and the roots. Through their youthful gazes, they led us to the ancient tradition that has become a symbol of their country's identity."
