🇬🇧 I think I discovered the most beautiful city in Europe, and it isn’t located where you would expect! I was completely captivated by the authentic atmosphere of this city. I am talking about Gjirokastër in Albania! 🇦🇱

This city is located about a 4-hour drive from Tirana, the capital of Albania, and is definitely worth visiting! 🙌

Here are a few places you absolutely must visit in Gjirokastër:

How beautiful is this town? 😍
One of the biggest mistakes you can do when visiting Albania 🇦🇱 is not visiting this town. It’s honestly one of the best places to visit in the country and I’m sure you’re going to like it as much as I did.

📍Gjirokastër is a UNESCO world heritage site and with its charming cobbled streets, colourful souvenir shops, outdoor cafes, and a lively atmosphere, Gjirokastër is the perfect spot to spend a full day or even just half a day. Michael and I did a half day since we also wanted to see the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër) which was not far from here.

✨How to get here:
Best way getting here is by car but you can also do a day trip using the bus from Sarandë. There are only a few daily departures so plan accordingly!
The bus journey between Sarandë and Gjirokastër takes approximately 1 hour and price is between 5-6€.
