Good Morning 🕊️

Today’s harvest: Beetroot!

My first-ever beetroot harvest grown completely the organic way — no chemical fertilizers, no pesticides, just patience and nature doing its magic.

The secret? Homemade compost to nourish the soil and a simple DIY pest spray made from garlic, turmeric, chili, and neem oil to keep unwanted visitors away.

One of the fascinating things I’ve recently learned is that companion planting can be a natural way to manage pests. Planting garlic and herbs like mint and basil around your fruit and vegetable plants may help deter many common garden pests while creating a healthier and more diverse garden ecosystem.

Nature often has its own solutions — sometimes the best pest control is simply choosing the right plants to grow together! 🌱🍃

I don’t fear bees or bumblebees anymore 🐝✨
The more I observe nature, the more I feel every species deserves to live freely and peacefully beside us.

Today I spotted this beautiful bee on my moringa tree.

When I tried to know more about this specific kind of bee , they are called carpenter bee .Female carpenter bees chew tunnels into soft or weathered wood to lay eggs.

And honestly, moments like these remind me — if we don’t harm them, they rarely harm us back.

Nature becomes magical when we learn to coexist with it instead of fearing it. 🌱 🍃 🐝

Last week we witnessed something truly beautiful — a Bulbul pakhi ( we call Bulbul in Bengali ) protecting the nest and eggs of a Ghughu pakhi ( Ghughu paki” is actually a species of pigeon/dove)
It felt so humbling to watch how even birds care for and protect one another. Nature quietly teaches us kindness, love and community every single day 🌿

Gardening 🌱♻️

“Most of us throw away fruit peels and vegetable scraps every day without realizing they can still be useful 🌿

A kitchen compost machine helps convert food waste into nutrient-rich compost material instead of sending it to landfills. This means less garbage, less bad odor from waste and a smaller environmental footprint 🌍

When food waste goes to landfills, it produces harmful gases like methane which contribute to pollution and climate change. Composting at home helps reduce that waste naturally ♻️

And for gardening? It’s amazing ✨
The compost can be mixed into soil to improve soil quality, support healthy root growth and help plants grow stronger naturally 🌱

It also helps:
🌿 Improve soil texture
💧 Retain moisture in soil
🪴 Add natural nutrients
🍅 Support healthier vegetables & herbs
🚫 Reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers

So instead of treating kitchen scraps as waste, we can turn them into something valuable for both our plants and the planet 💚

Small sustainable habits at home can make a big difference over time 🌎 CompostMachine SustainableLiving

Don’t throw away your used soil after just using once 😊
You can reuse it with a few easy steps ♻️

Remove weeds and old roots, then spread the soil under the sun for 5–6 days ☀️
This helps get rid of pests and impurities.

Next, boost it with compost, cow manure, neem cake powder, a pinch of turmeric & cinnamon 🌱
Mix well—and your soil is fresh and ready again!
