A Heartfelt Thank You from Funun Arts Group

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us today for the Opening Ceremony of Threads of Humanity. Your presence, love, encouragement, and support made the evening truly special and meaningful.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all the participating artists whose creativity, stories, and artistic expressions have come together to make this exhibition a beautiful celebration of families, cultures, connections, and communities.

A special thank you to our partners, collaborators, guests, friends, and every individual who contributed to making the opening such a wonderful success.
Our deepest gratitude to Dubai Culture for giving us the opportunity to present Threads of Humanity at the magnificent Al Shindagha Museum—a venue that beautifully complements the spirit and soul of this exhibition.

This is only the beginning! We look forward to welcoming you all throughout the Threads of Humanity Summer Art Festival and sharing many more inspiring moments, conversations, workshops, and artistic experiences together.

With a heavy heart, I pay tribute to Mr. Ramesh Shukla, whose remarkable journey from arriving in the UAE with a camera and just a dream to becoming one of its most cherished photographers will forever inspire us all.

Mr. Shukla didn’t just take photos he captured history. His lens witnessed the birth of the nation, including the iconic moment of the late Sheikh Zayed signing the Union Agreement in 1971, an image that became known as “The Spirit of the Union”and is etched into the UAE’s collective memory.

I feel deeply honored that he once visited us at World Art Dubai, appreciated my “Door Series” photos, and warmly shared his experience especially his love for capturing doors. His kind words and encouragement will always stay with me.

His legacy of passion, patience, and pure love for photography will continue to inspire every artist and photographer who follows their creative heart. May his soul rest in peace.
