We are delighted to have Rafah Abdul Razzak as the Legacy Art Ambassador, Mentorship Council Member & Gallery Partner for ASAS 2026.

Rafah brings with her a deep connection to the art community and a strong passion for creating platforms where artists can connect, learn, exhibit and grow. Her continued involvement in the creative landscape reflects the importance of mentorship and meaningful relationships in shaping the next generation of artists.

As a Legacy Art Ambassador, her role beautifully represents the values that ASAS has built over the years — inspiring young talent, encouraging artistic exchange and creating bridges between established artists and emerging creative voices.

We are grateful to have Rafah as part of the ASAS journey and look forward to her continued support in making ASAS 2026 a meaningful celebration of art, creativity and the generations that carry it forward.

What happens when artists begin to question tradition and look at the world in completely new ways?

In Episode 7 of our Art Era Conversations, Asiya Khanum, Senior Art Ambassador & Youth Council Member for ASAS, takes us into the fascinating world of Modern Art—an era shaped by experimentation, new ideas and a desire to break away from established artistic conventions.

From Impressionism, Expressionism and Cubism to Surrealism and Abstract Art, Modern Art opened the door to different ways of seeing, thinking and expressing the world. Artists began exploring emotion, movement, perspective, imagination and individual experience beyond realistic representation.

With a background rooted in both education and art, Asiya’s journey has taken her from cake decorating and early childhood education to becoming an art educator, with teaching experience at Al Forsan International School and Bright Riders Dubai. Her passion for nurturing creativity makes her perspective on the evolution of art especially meaningful.

Introducing Dr. Anum Anwar Ali — Art Mentor, ASAS 2026

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Anum Anwar Ali, a Pakistani artist based in the UAE, as one of the Art Mentors for ASAS 2026.

A Fine Arts graduate from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Dr. Anum brings a diverse artistic practice spanning oil, acrylic and mixed media. Her work explores emotion, nature and human connection, expressed through vibrant colour, texture and a deeply personal visual language.

Beyond her own practice, she is passionate about nurturing creativity in young minds and leads creative art workshops for children, encouraging imagination, confidence and self-expression.

Her experience and love for art education make her a wonderful addition to the ASAS 2026 mentor community.
