I am my own home, until the dark made me doubt the address.
In the darkest moments, driven by depression, I abandoned the only place I ever truly belonged, myself.

Footsteps stirred behind the curtain, who’s there?
A sadness shaped like the soul I once lost, a hand silhouetted, almost greeting, almost guiding, but never fully clear.
Then a spark ignites, and suddenly, I can see again.

Do I take a chance on the things I can’t see, or let the currents claim me?
Surrounded by the noise of hurt, seduced by the idea of disappearing, a moment that asks for a choice, sink or swim?

It’s a sad day, for sure.
