Iraqi artist Rand Abdul Jabbar has been announced as the winner of the $60,000 Richard Mille Art Prize at the Louvre Abu Dhabi. This year the theme was "Icon/Iconics", and among 10 of her nominated peers Jabbar was announced as a winner. The annual award is held jointly with the Swiss watchmaking brand and Abdul Jabbar won for her work Earthly Wonders, Celestial Beings.

🔹 The Centre Pompidou in Saudi Arabia

The Centre Pompidou, a Paris-based arts and culture institution, has signed partnership agreements to create contemporary art museums in Saudi Arabia. The Royal Commission of AlUla in Saudi Arabia has been working to preserve and reactivate the AlUla cultural oasis and turn it into a significant arts and culture hub. As part of this effort, they have signed a partnership agreement with The Centre Pompidou to create a contemporary art museum that will feature regional and international 21st-century artworks.
