Bali Food Recommendations | Ep. 4
📍 Satu, Uluwatu – Bali
One of my favorite warung-style restaurants in Bali, especially if you’re staying in Uluwatu. Among the many cafés and restaurants in the area, this place stands out for its consistent food quality, generous servings, and relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much that we dined here twice during our stay.
Ambiance: 10/10
Calm, comfortable, and welcoming — perfect for both lunch and dinner.
Service: 10/10
Staff are friendly, attentive, and very accommodating.
We dined as a group of four, and here’s everything we ordered:
• Cheesy Beef Rendang – 10/10 | 99,000 IDR
A creative take on one of Indonesia’s most iconic dishes. The beef is juicy, tender, and full of flavor, with a good level of spice. The added cheese surprisingly works well and makes the dish richer.
Highly recommended, especially for Filipino taste buds.
• Sammy’s Beer (Cheeseburger) – 10/10 | 83,000 IDR
One of the highlights of our meals. A medium-rare, juicy beef patty with melted cheese, served with potato wedges. Simple, classic, and executed very well.
A definite must-try.
• Chicken Kung Pao – 75,000 IDR
Included for reference, though this wasn’t my personal order.
• Nasi Goreng Chicken – 7/10 | 69,000 IDR
Good portion size (can be shared), but the rice was slightly bland, salty, and a bit dry. Still filling, but not our top choice.
• Bolognese – 9/10 | 79,000 IDR
Well-balanced and flavorful without being too salty. The beef sauce pairs nicely with the pasta, and you can request extra parmesan cheese if you prefer a richer taste.
• Green Curry Vegetable – 8/10 | 59,000 IDR
Aromatic with a strong curry flavor and mild spiciness. Not too salty and a good option if you enjoy bold, spicy dishes.
They also offer pastries and cakes, priced between 25,000–39,000 IDR, which are great for dessert or takeaway.
Overall, Satu is a solid dining option in Uluwatu—good food, good service, and a place we would definitely return to.
Sorry for the Photo Quality 😅
