This is my very first Coptic icon, now completed ✨

What started as a simple first step turned into a journey I truly enjoyed — learning, exploring, and reconnecting with a deeper artistic and spiritual identity

Coptic art, to me, is more than painting — it reflects our Egyptian identity, with its simplicity and profound soul 🙏
Not only for Christians, but for every Egyptian — it’s part of who we are

اللي بدأ كخطوة بسيطة، اتحول لرحلة استمتعت بيها جدًا — تعلمت فيها، وقرّبتني أكتر من هويتي الفنية والروحية

الفن القبطي بالنسبة لي مش مجرد رسم، ده تعبير عن هويتنا المصرية، ببساطته وعمقه وروحه الخاصة 🙏
مش للمسيحيين بس، لكن لكل إنسان مصري — لأنه جزء مننا كلنا

رقص التنورة… حيث تدور الروح قبل الجسد

لحظة مليانة انطلاق…
حركة حرة، والدوران فيها حالة من التحرر والانفلات من كل قيود

الألوان بتتصادم وتنسجم في نفس الوقت…
والإيقاع بيشدّك جوا المشهد بدون مقاومة

وقفت قدامها واتأثرت…
وحاولت أنقل الإحساس ده بريشتي
مش الواقع… لكن الشعور اللي وراه 🎨

✨ Tanoura dance… where the soul spins before the body

A moment full of release…
A free movement, where spinning becomes a state of liberation beyond all limits

The colors clash and harmonize at the same time…
And the rhythm pulls you deep into the scene effortlessly

I stood there, deeply moved…
And tried to capture this feeling with my brush
Not the reality… but what I felt behind it 🎨

رقص التنورة… لحظة ما بين الأرض والسماء
حركة بتكسر حدود الجسد… وتسيب الروح تحكي

وقفت قدام المشهد ده واتأثرت…
الإيقاع، الألوان، والانطلاق… كلهم بيشدّوك لجوه
كأن كل لفة بتحكي حكاية، وكل لون بيصرخ إحساس

حاولت أسجل اللحظة دي بريشتي…
مش زي ما هي… لكن زي ما حسّيتها 🎨

✨ Tanoura head… a moment between earth and sky
A movement that breaks the limits of the body… and lets the soul speak

I stood there, deeply moved…
The rhythm, the colors, the flow… pulling you inward
Every spin tells a story, every color screams a feeling

I tried to capture this moment with my brush…
Not as it is… but as I felt it 🎨

"الشرقيه"… عمل بدأته من سنين في كنيسة في مصر، وكان مليان شغف وحلم كبير.

دي مراحل من الشغل اللي اشتغلت عليه وقتها، بكل حب وتفاصيل حاولت أقدم فيها حاجة تليق بالمعنى الروحي العميق. لكن للأسف، اضطررت أسافر سنة 2006، واتوقف العمل قبل ما يكتمل… وفضل جوايا حزن إن العمل ده ما شافش نهايته.

يمكن الوقت عدى، لكن الإحساس ما راحش.
والنهارده، وأنا ببص على البداية دي، حاسس إنها مش نهاية… دي كانت مجرد وقفة.

عندي أمل كبير إني أرجع تاني، وأقدم عمل أقوى وأضخم، يعوض سنين التوقف، ويكون بداية جديدة مليانة إيمان وشغف.

"The Father’s Embrace"… a piece I started years ago in a church in Egypt, filled with passion and a deep vision.

These are some stages of the work I created back then, pouring my heart into every detail to reflect its spiritual meaning. Unfortunately, I had to travel in 2006, and the work was left unfinished… leaving a lasting sense of sadness inside me.

Time passed, but the feeling never did.
Today, looking back at this beginning, I don’t see an end… I see a pause.

I carry strong hope to return, to create something greater and more powerful—something that makes up for the years of توقف—and marks a true new beginning.
