Some grandmas come to visit with suitcases full of gifts… and some arrive with open arms ready to create memories 💛

When she walked in, I offered her a chair,
thinking getting up and down from the floor might be too much.

But then the music started.
And suddenly… she was in the circle — clapping, swaying, laughing like a child again.

There are two types of families:
the ones who skip class because grandma is in town… and the ones who bring grandma along and turn an ordinary day into a core memory.

Because bonding doesn’t have an age limit.
Because songs sound sweeter when generations sing together.
Because one day, these little ones will remember how grandma danced with them.

If grandma is visiting… you know what to do 💃 Our circle always has room for one more heart.

New profile picture with my two little ones! On the second pic my wonderful husband behind the scenes nurturing our family, praying for us, supporting me in every way possible, being an amazing father.

Two years ago, Odi told me “it’s your time to shine”… and I wasn’t sure about it. Today I see the sun around this picture and it’s true… I’m shining a light, but it doesn’t come from me. God is leading the way, giving favor, building community together and opening doors through this program called Zumbini. To all the parents who have supported us, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! Beautiful things are coming because God’s plans are higher and better than ours.

Happy UAE Mother’s Day!
It doesn’t matter what others think… you are doing an awesome job. Whether you deliver naturally or through C-section. Whether you are breastfeeding or giving formula. Whether you take care of your child or send her to nursery. Whether you sleep with your baby or you put him on his own room. God designed you to be the best mom for your child(ren). He is teaching you to love unconditionally just as he loves you… He is giving you a double (or triple) portion of patience. Yes, some days are hard but God is there giving us wisdom and strength to continue. He made us unique. Love who you are and who you have become. Despite our imperfections, you are AWESOME… never forget it!

Zumbini is for the kids, for the moms, for the dads, for the grandparents, for the nannys and for whoever is willing to cultivate its inner child. In this video you can see how all the parents are involved and specially Cara’s grandparents, who are visiting from Ireland. They have come with her grandaughter to Zumbini classes, to swimming lessons and to playdates at the Library… We love grandparents👴🏻👵 If they are visiting, bring them to class! 😍❤️

Yes, you will look quite crazy but just do it! Talk to your baby/toddler as much as you can. Tell him/her everything you are doing or you are just about to do. At night re tell everything you did together during the day. They are hearing all the time and their growing brains are at work!

As your child starts coo, gurgle, wave and point, you can respond to your child’s attempts to communicate. For example, if your baby coos and gurgles, you can coo back to them.

If your toddler points to a toy, respond as if your child is saying, ‘Can I have that?’ For example, you could say ‘Do you want the block?’

When your child starts using words, you can repeat and build on what your child says. For example, if your child says, ‘Apple,’ you can say, ‘You want a red apple?’

When you pay attention and respond to your child in these ways, it encourages them to keep communicating and developing their language skills.
